Skeeter vs Tsukemen and Women

We’ve got a recap of this game from Tsukemen and Women’s Chicago.  First recap, as far as a I know, that we’ve had from Chicago.

RecapChicagoThe last game of the season was fun and spirited. Skeeter had some uncharacteristic turns in the first couple points but got going soon enough. Even with their smallish squad, they are pretty stacked in all positions. Shoutout to Stig taking turns skying all of the Tsukemen. Shoutout to both LandesMEN – especially LiL’ landy. I’m so impressed with his Frisbee IQ – it must run in the fam. Shoutout to Punky with a sweeeeet layout in the endzone – unfortunately the throw lead her OB.

Tsuke played a decent game and overall had a very solid season. Definitely showed much improvement from last year. We’re going to keep having fun and working on our game.

I got a great view of that layout.  I was on the line on the other field awaiting the pull.  It was awesome.  Just barely OB.  But she did everything she could to try and keep it in.  Great catch.

Skeeter finishes with a perfect record on the season.  But be aware, the last three teams to go undefeated in Winter League did not win the tournament.  Interestingly, it was Marshall each time.  In 2013, 2011 and 2010.  The last team to go undefeated and win the tournament was Empire in 2009.  They also were undefeated in 2008 and lost in finals.

(Note, I’m not counting teams that went undefeated in B or C division.)

Tsukemen and Women, despite the loss, will likely finish as the 4 seed and earn a first round bye.  No matter what happens on Thursday, they definitely will get the bye.
