Ah Valentine’s Day. The day of love and togetherness and having your fiancee make you see 50 Shades Darker when you’re literally 1 of 7 men in the entire theater, and it really felt like we were the only 7 people who didn’t like it. It got multiple rounds of applause in the theater. (Interestingly, it got a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But a 62% audience score.)
Some folks had to play Ultimate last night. That was the case for Dumbledore’s Army and Tsukemen & Women. Here’s T&W’s Andrew Bustle:
This game went by pretty quick and I have troubles remembering a bunch of details. We came in knowing DA had a lot of talent and that the game would be a challenge and would take our team being on top of our games to come away with a win. Tsukemen and Women started out on offense and after trading the first couple points DA pulled ahead at 6-2. Somewhere in there I called a timeout to try and slow their momentum and refocus our team, which I hate doing but it felt necessary. It worked to help us bounce back some, but we still went to half trailing 8-6. Came out of half with two breaks to take us to 8’s then we were at 9’s. Then Tsukemen and Women hit some troubles with DA getting on a run. They ended up pushing through to win 15-10. Tsukemen and Women struggled a bit with drops and inaccurate throws. DA played strong downfield defense that contributed to the drops and misthrows. Unfortunately some of our turns created easier scoring opportunities that they took advantage of. It was one of those games that even when DA was rattling off points it did not feel like we were out of the game at any time as both teams were competing hard against each other. Ultimately Tsukemen and Women faded and couldn’t keep pace.
Yep, that just tightens up the RRI between the 3, 4 and 5 seeds for those first round byes. Ninja is now at 1398. T&W is at 1383. Marshall is at 1357.
