Los Angeles Organization of Ultimate Teams

General Info

We will have a new Open 5-on-5 division this year, in addition to the Coed 4-on-4 A & B divisions.

You may only play on one team for the season.

The season starts Oct 14th. All Games are Sunday mornings at 10am.
We will be extending the season by one week this year, so we will be playing 7 weeks of league games (no games the Sunday after Thanksgiving) and have a one-day tournament Sunday of December, the 9th.

Where we play:

Cost: Adults – $250/team

Youth – $30/player

Open, A, B and youth divisions

Captains can choose which division they want their team to be in (League choice is based on availability.  If there are not enough participants for each division, some may be combined).  Teams registering after the deadline are not guaranteed to play in the league.

Sunday (10am-1pm) “Open” Division 5vs5 (Open division has no gender ratios.  Women can play, but they may be lined up against guys)

Sunday (10am-1pm) “A” Co-ed Division 4vs4 (Top Level Players, looking for highly competitive games)

Sunday (10am-1pm) “B” Co-ed Division 4vs4 (Teams looking to play hard at a more casual level)

Sunday (9:30am-11am) Youth Co-ed (ages 11+) Learning and playing the game from experienced coaches/players.

Teams Size:

There is no roster size limit to teams, but on the field the Co-ed division plays 2M/2F. You can play 4F if you like, but if you are missing women, you cannot put on extra man, you must play short-handed.

In the Open division you may line up however you like on the line.

Who we are:

Now in it’s 7th season, the LA Beach Ultimate league continues to grow. Our idea to fill the void between Summer and Winter leagues, with the hope of having 6 teams, ended up attracting 12 teams for the inaugural season. In a city as big as they come in this country, the beach league has a tournament feel ever weekend as all teams converge on the beach Sunday mornings to play their games and enjoy an otherwise almost empty beach. Bring your team; we’ll bring the cones!
