As of January 1, 2019, LAOUT leagues & tournaments require a LAOUT organization membership.
But, why?! We’re glad you asked. Membership helps LAOUT as an organization, and you as an individual, in several ways:

- MORE AGENCY | As a member of LAOUT, each and every person is invited to public committee meetings and has the right to run for a co-chair of said committees. Thus far we have the Equity Committee, League Com, Marketing Committee, and Prom Task Force; and we plan to revitalize our Club Committee in the spring.
- PROGRAMMING | We aren’t satisfied with all of our offerings being good, we want to make them great! We’re continuing to invest in the process of finding more fields in better locations and paying our league and tournament directors more so that they can create better events for you!
- GROWTH & INCLUSION | With the possibility of ultimate in the LA2028 Games, we are leading the charge to get more people playing! From youth development to equity training, marketing to communication; we are upping our game. On top of that LAOUT is dedicated to providing need based scholarships.. And of course new players will always be welcomed with special discounts!
- STRENGTH IN NUMBERS | By collecting information and ensuring all LAOUT participants are members, LAOUT can make better pitches to potential sponsors which means more membership perks for you! Currently, members gets discounts at Spin, Hucket Bucket, Heckler Bags, and Tokay cleats. More to come!
- LONGEVITY | We are preparing LAOUT for the long haul, which means taking care of annual expenses, saving for future expansions, and making sure we are operating according to best practices.
- COMMUNITY |Part of being a community means your voice is important. And when there’s something big to decide on, we want everyone’s voice to be heard.
With everyone becoming a member, our community becomes more fun. It also means more playing opportunities via the sub pool. Our goal is to work towards softening the drive for winning at all costs and boost the idea of welcoming new players and having fun together!
