This was the first ever meeting between Dumbledore and Animal Style.  That’s not super crazy.  This is only Dumbledore’s 3rd season in the league.  But still.  I figured they’d played before.  We start with Joanna Whitney of Animal Style:

I am planning out a week’s worth of Whole30 meals, while planning out St. Pat’s Hat, while working on stuff for the board and League Com. I’m tired ya’ll. So here are some highlights but mostly a reminder to SIGN UP FOR ST. PAT’S HAT! It’s where I met my friend Danny Le at my first one, and life’s never been the same (good? bad? who can really know). So come have fun, meet new friends, celebrate a silly holiday, play some ultimate.

We took some notes last year and we’re working to improve it. Come support the community from beginners on up.

Anyway, we played Dumbledore’s Army last night. Traded points the whole first half. We were up at two different points and then they sealed it to take half 8-6. Our second half was not as good, only point scored was a huck from me to Nahall in the back corner, but we still played hard the whole time. Score doesn’t reflect the hard d we played and the intense offense that we were lacking a week ago. Shout out to Meghan for playing a handler despite not liking to play handler when on O (yeah, confusing, I know). Ted ran with Kwok a bunch, got grumpy like you do when playing Kwok. Lots of man cuddles in the form of accidental tackles three different times, one on Phil (welcome to the team), two from Dot on Snatch. I’m not threatened… Buster broke her lady and got a not so subtle grin on her face. Helix is finally back to play with us. Lincoln showed Bobman up this week with his big supply of oranges.

I feel strangely compelled.

Life is always better with Danny Le.

Had never heard of Whole30 but that’s not surprising as I have eaten very few healthy meals in my life.  Also, I love that that was included in the list of things that are making her life hard.

It was hard to read a lot of this recap because I spent most of it thinking about how Dot changed his name to Danbledore, and then just pondered who else on that team would make sense to add “bledore” to their name.

But then I was brought back on track by Amy getting free mozzarella sticks, and thinking how can I work that deal myself.
