This season, for the most part, has been one of the better ones in Winter League history.  In addition to the fact that we grew, and added several rookie teams, there’s been a nice amount of surprise teams who are having their best seasons, and more than 50% of the teams were playing above .500 as late as just a couple days ago.  But unfortunately this week we’ve had a bit of a hiccup with now the second 15-2 game in the last three days.

Sonja Roden of Tarmac gives her account of last night’s events.

Here’s the thing, I don’t watch my “recaps” after I record them. I don’t censor or edit them so I’m pretty sure I’ll say the wrong thing or things that don’t make sense all the time, oh well. All that is to say, last night’s video may be a bit more spaced out and nonsensical than normal.

We began the evening by experiencing the joy of driving though the Red Sea, not knowing if we would drop into oblivion or make it to the parking lot. Ahh LA and your high quality drainage system.

This is what I will say of this evening, we played a game…and we were consistent, scoring equal points in each half. Read-we got demolished. Alas, we can no longer claim to be better than the Rams. We have just decided that February is just not our month. Tarmac did some good things and SD did better things. There were chocolates, stickers, brownies, and dancing.

I was going to do a video recap at the bar as well but it was too loud. It was a good bar night, musical type things happened. We made a new friend who we might have convinced to sign up for St Pats Hat. Good job Thies. There are plenty of videos on my IG stories and I will try to post them in the comments for your viewing pleasure and trust me, you will be pleased.

All in all, I have to say I was pleased with our turnout considering it was a holiday. I hope you all had a delightful Anna Howard Shaw day!

I totally understand the not watching the videos you make.  I tend not to watch or listen to anything I’ve done either. 100% get that.  Sometimes I’m like “I don’t really want to see what other people see when I do things.  I’d just rather imagine it went the way it went in my head.”

I saw that guy at the bar sitting with you all.  I was wondering who he is.  What was the story there?

Currently as we stand as of 2:51pm, there ARE more women who signed up for St. Pat’s Hat today than men.  But it’s very close.  Only separated by one.  Widen that gap!
