RecapWinter 2020Marshal vs Retro

Seasons Played

Just when you thought Winter League was over, RETRO comes from behind for an epic video tribute to A Division veterans – Marshall. Without further ado, here’s Mike Bell of RETRO.

No, that’s not the score of the Marshall-Retro game.  We didn’t actually play each other this season because Marshall’s in A division and Retro’s in B.   These are the number of years each our respective teams has been in existence.  It’s been a long history with a lot of good games and good friends.  Sometime around 2008, Marshall determined that 2020 would be their last year, and as of now, it looks like it might still be true.

In keeping with our long history of trading videos (and other pranks) before our rivalry games each season, we decided to put a little something together to recognize the longest standing team in LAOUT Winter League history, to bid them a hearty farewell, and just maybe to offer them an alternative many Retro players took when the A division had lost its luster.

Hats off and much love to our rivals (that Retro never did manage to beat) as they sail away into the sunset.

Okay, this is amazing. I LOVE IT. I don’t think there’s anything left for me to say, other than, if this is the end of Marshall, they will surely be missed.

Good luck to everyone at the tourney tomorrow! Send me more recaps! 😀
