NewsReturn to Play – May Updates

We know everyone is eager to get back out on the field, and the LAOUT Board is actively working to secure field space in the coming months, and determining the right time to return to ultimate that is equitable for the community as a whole. With that in mind, we feel that it is best to not run our Summer League this year. Instead, our first traditional LAOUT league back will most likely be our Fall Beach League. 

However, we are hopeful to gradually roll out some programming over the summer, potentially starting in July or August. We are currently discussing different clinics, events, and competition structures to make returning to Ultimate both fun and safe; we hope you’ll provide your input by filling out the one question survey on this webpage. We’ve been actively staying in touch with different field reps and our insurance agents to make sure we’re ready to begin programming. And we’ve decided to not require memberships for any LAOUT 2021 activities. 

Over the past few months, we’ve sent out a survey and had two Return to Play community meetings where we’ve collected community feedback and discussed options for easing back into play with smaller events, structured clinics, and other programming.
