Winter Hat League
GENDER RATIO:
This will be an “open” play league with no set gender ratio. We will do our best to make sure teams have even numbers of womxn, and Captains are urged to play matching genders whenever possible, and to play 4m-3w/3m-4w as frequently as possible.
NOTE: If you are a player who choses to match against womxn and would rather play in our Bring Your Own Team league – with a set gender ratio – but haven’t found a team to play with; please email board@laout.org and we will help match you with a team where you will be guaranteed to match up against womxn.
- $55 on or before 12/22/2019; otherwise $65
- Men who are also registered for the BYOT Winter League get a $5 discount; make sure to sign up for and complete checkout for the BYOT League before moving on to Hat League to get this deal
- Womxn who register before 12/23 and are already registered for the BYOT League only pay $5 for for the second league; after 12/22 it’s $15; make sure to sign up for and complete checkout for the BYOT League before moving on to Hat League to get this deal
NEW TO ULTIMATE?
Please use the coupon code STRONGWOMXN or STRONGMAN before you checkout for a special discount on your first event and Basic or A-list Membership; if you decide you’d like to purchase an upgraded membership down the line, just let us know and we’ll help you out.
EVENT SCHOLARSHIPS
The LAOUT Board is pleased to announce that we are prepared to sponsor individual athletes for whom the cost of any given LAOUT League or (non LeiOut) LAOUT event would prohibit them from playing. Please don’t hesitate to do one of the following in order to apply – 1) Reach out to our President – Remy Schor at remyschor@gmail.com – to briefly explain your situation. She will anonymously share the details with the Board and we will determine how we can help, OR 2) Fill out the form below.
This will be as confidential a process as possible and we are genuinely hopeful that no one in our community who wants to play will be prevented from doing so due to cost.

We’re still working on that but should have a more concrete idea by Friday.

It says 2 games a week. Is that on the same night, like back 2 back games? Depending on the location (asked above I see) I may be able to drive out once a week but not sure about twice, I’m in Woodland Hills, thanks.

I don’t have concrete answers but most likely, games will be 2 games side by side playing at the same time at the same fields. Field locations are looking to be the Valley (Encino area) and West LA/Culver City areas.

Yeah, it says to play 2 games a week but perhaps that is a typo, or they mean in conjunction with the other BYOT league.

Hi Andrew, yes the note about being able to play two games a week meant in conjunction with the BYOT winter league games if you were to sign up for both. Teams in the Hat league will only have one game per week.

Can we still sign up for this? Does anyone actually answer these comments? Looks like it starts in a few days and there are still a lot of questions.
